[ARCHIVED] Pole Creek Crossing and Fort Sidney Road Bridge Project

The City of Sidney would like to notify the traveling public that construction will begin on Monday, June 1st, for Phase 2 of the Pole Creek Crossing and the Fort Sidney Road Bridge Project. This project will involve the construction of Pole Creek Crossing from Greenwood Road to Fort Sidney Road, the demolition and reconstruction of the Fort Sidney Road Bridge as well as reconstruction of the intersection of Fort Sidney Road and Pole Creek Crossing (formerly Toledo Street). Detours will be required during the various phases of construction of this project.

Phase 1 of the project will require the closure of Fort Sidney Road between Pole Creek Crossing (formerly Toledo Street) and Virginia Lane during the demolition and reconstruction of the Fort Sidney Road Bridge. Access to Virginia Lane and Pole Creek Crossing (Toledo Street) will be maintained at all times during this phase of construction. This closure is anticipated to last from June 1st to October 2nd. The detour route to be used during this timeframe will be Parkland Drive, 11th Avenue and Pole Creek Crossing (Toledo Street) and will be appropriately signed.

The Fort Sidney Road and Pole Creek Road (Toledo Street) intersection will remain open during Phase 1 construction but will have closures during later phases of construction requiring detours. As these phases of construction approach, the City of Sidney will update the public on the anticipated closures and detour routes.
