[ARCHIVED] 10th Avenue Federal Aid Street Improvement Project Update

The general contractor for the project, Werner Construction, has not walked away from completing the project. There have been deficiencies with the installation of the new curb, gutter and pavement in Phase One that are causing some unfortunate delays.

Due to these deficiencies, Werner Construction is bringing in another piece of equipment that is currently located at another project in eastern Nebraska, to install the curb and gutter. Until that machine arrives on-site next week there is no further work that can take place within Phase One.

The City has discussed this delay with the contractor and made our displeasure with the current state of construction well known to the contractor.

If you have any questions regarding this project, please feel free to contact John Hehnke at the City’s Administrative Offices at (308) 254-5300 or email at
