[ARCHIVED] HUD Officials to Hold Forum in Sidney Today

The concept for the visits is for the local HUD office (Omaha) to meet with local officials, community and business leaders, non-profit organizations and residents to share updated and accurate information regarding HUD programs and services available in Nebraska, which are relevant to the communities of rural Nebraska.

Field Office Director (FOD) Earl Redrick and local HUD staff have strong professional interest in meeting with as many rural and Western Nebraska Communities as possible in order to gain an enhanced understanding of respective community needs and concerns related to housing and economic development.

The local HUD office has partnered with community representatives in an effort to host the forums as well as, to the extent possible, encourage community-wide participation. The visits will also serve to strengthen relationships between communities and the local HUD office. Visits are not designed to be a listening session, but rather an interactive dialogue between Western Nebraska Communities and the local HUD office.
