This project starts just north of the L17J / Old Post Road junction. It continues north and includes pavement replacement on Highway 30 both east and west off L17J. The project ends north of town where Highway 385 starts.
Grading with soil stabilization, pavement replacement with new median surfacing, new storm drain work, bridge deck work, new guardrail, new and relocated electrical work, new pavement markings and signs, and earth shouldering with seeding are included in the project.
Although traffic will be maintained with flaggers and lane closures occasionally, the majority of the construction work will be accomplished with placing traffic into a head to head configuration while the adjacent lanes are being reconstructed. Reduced speed limits and no passing zones will be in effect. At times, some streets will be closed to accommodate construction but access to businesses and residences is to be maintained throughout construction.
