"Week after week the State and CDC learn more about corona-virus. May 2020 and June 2020 Sidney Outdoor Aquatic Center will not open. The City Staff will monitor the news for guidance from the State and CDC to determine if we can open at some point in July 2020. Once safe guidelines are established, that we can implement safely at our Center, City Staff will need 10 to 15 work days to clean, acquire chemicals, fill, treat, and heat pools. Swimming Lessons will be deferred to Summer 2021. If we do open this summer, no concessions will be sold. Patrons may bring their own drinks, but no food. Spilled food attracts insects and pests. Wrappers and trash expand duties of guards who need to concentrate on patron safety. "
