Biography Roger Gallaway
Roger has been a teacher with Sidney Public Schools with over twenty years experience. He is currently teaching business, computers, as well as serving as one of the district's technology facilitators.   He is also an assistant coach for track.  Roger graduated with a BS in Secondary Education from Chadron State College, with dual majors of Basic Business and Library Media.  Additionally, Roger has 39 graduate hours in Educational Technology, Facilities from both Chadron State College and Univ. of Neb. at Kearney.  He served as the project coordinator for the school district in the development of its fiber optic, wide area network between all buildings, working as a liaison between the city, the school, and the various vendors. 

Roger's community service has consisted of serving on the Sidney Planning Commission, the Sidney Housing Authority, and as City Councilman in 2012.  He has also served as Vice President of the American Legion Baseball Board, the Board of Directors for Way Out West Community Theater, Cheyenne County Technology Committee, and coaching local youth at all levels: T-ball, Little League, girls softball, Babe Ruth, American Legion baseball and football.

Roger has three children, Stephanie, John, and Rachael.  He enjoys current events, history, all sports, movies, theater, & riding motorcycles.

He has been on the City Council since March of 2013, has served as Vice-Mayor and is currently the Mayor of Sidney.
